Joe joined Moeckel Carbonell Associates Inc.
as an associate in 1971. He was named a partner of the firm
in 1979, and with the firm's incorporation in 1984, he became
president. He has served as Chairman since 2003. Over his
thirty-year career at Moeckel Carbonell Associates, Joe has
amassed a diverse portfolio of work including non-profit,
educational, healthcare, corporate, transportation, and government
projects.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and serves
on the local Jefferson Scholars Selection Committee. He is
a member and a past president of the Wilmington Rotary Club,
and a former President and treasurer of the Delaware Society
of Architects. He is also a member of the American Institute
of Architects, the National Committee on Design, and the National
Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is also a
member, past president and director of AIA Delaware.
