The design for the 15,000 s.f. top floor of First USA Bank’s headquarters at the Christina Plaza is structured around the public contact areas that connect with the Bank’s executive functions. The visitor is directed from the elevator toward a generous skylit lobby with its panoramic view of the city of Wilmington, the rivers south of Wilmington, and the Delaware Memorial Bridge. first-rec.tif (159306 bytes)
Within the executive area of the floor are conference areas with sophisticated multiple teleconferencing capabilities. The use of cherry wainscot and custom work stations are an integral part of the architecture of the connecting circulation spaces. The colonnaded Board Room and Conference Center provide comforting intimate break out areas and private visitors offices. The visitors offices provide additional opportunity for visitors to communicate via teleconferencing with locations around the world. The vaulted Board Room overlooks the city and provides a full array of multimedia communication and presentation equipment. first-wa.tif (159992 bytes)
